- Stir together flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, salt and sugar with fork. Add oil, milk and egg. Stir to stiff dough. Knead on floured board or table 5 times. Roll out to about 3/4-inch thick for larger biscuits. Cut and bake at 450° F or 10-15 minutes.
