  1. In mixing bowl, combine sugar and oil. Add eggs and beat well. Blend in food coloring. Sift flour, soda and cocoa together. Add flour mixture alternating with buttermilk til smooth.
  2. Add vinegar and vanilla. Pour into 3 8" greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350° F or 25 minutes. Turn onto rack. When cool, frost with cream cheese crosting.
