Mrs. Fields' Chocolate Raisin Cookies


  • 1 cup Butter, divided
  • 2 oz Unsweetened Baking Chocolate
  • 2 1/4 cups Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1-1/2 cups Raisins
  • 1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips


Preheat oven to 300° F.

Whisk flour, soda, salt and oats together. In large mixing bowl blend sugars. Add butter to form a grainy paste.

Scrape sides and add honey, vanilla and eggs. Mix at medium speed until light. Add flour mixture, raisins and nuts. Blend together.

Drop by rounded tablespoon on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake about 18-20 minutes until they're pale golden. Remove immediately to cool flat surface to cool.
