- Put steak through the meat grinder, add the eggs, cracker meal or bread crumbs, salt, pepper, finely chopped onion , milk to moisten and mix thoroughly. Form into small cakes. Cook slowly in a small quantity of hot fat. When steak is cooked, empty tomato soup in frying pan and when boiling, pour over steak and serve at once.
