This is just one of over 9,000 recipes we've collected since early 1996. Many of these recipes have been passed down from family member to family member and then shared with friends and then, with SecretRecipes.com. When it comes to recipes, the real secret is that all of our recipes always have been, and always will be free!
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly grease two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda and salt; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the starter, eggs, oil and vanilla. Gradually stir in the sifted ingredients until just blended.
- Finally, stir in the chopped nuts and apples. Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans. Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a loaf comes out clean.
